It was written by IMSA Amsterdam with involvement of several parties from science, industry, NGOs and government.

Today the report ‘Plastics do not belong in the ocean. Towards a roadmap for a clean North Sea’ was published.

Based on the most recent scientific insights the report gives an analysis of the problem of plastic marine litter. It deals with the causes, effects and possible solutions, both globally and specifically for the North Sea. It was written by IMSA Amsterdam with involvement of several parties from science, industry, NGOs and government.

’Plastics do not belong in the ocean’ recommends the launch of a North Sea Programme to solve the problem of plastic marine litter through social and technical innovations, research and (inter)national policies.
